As someone who has always been a stickler for recycling (just ask my college roommate!), I have been looking for more and more ways to make choices in my life that are more helpful than harmful to the environment. Styrofoam makes me cringe, I pick paper out of the trash, and I carry empty pop cans around until I find a recycle bin. I'm still trying to get used to the "earthy" smell of my new non-toxic cleaners, detergents, and soaps, and I am possibly too excited for my new compost bin.
Always wanting to do more, I decided that Frozen Music Studios should be a "green" business. We will soon be sending out our information on fair-trade paper made from banana waste in envelopes made from 100% recycled post-consumer materials. As we are digital photographers, we have very minimal paper or chemical waste. We are making a strong effort to minimize our environmental impact, and assure our clients that by choosing us, they are making an environmentally responsible choice.
I am thrilled to announce that Frozen Music Studios is now officially a member of
One Percent for the Planet. We are one of 852 (only 29 photographic) companies in the world that are members of this organization and have made the commitment to give one percent of all profits back to the Earth through donations to environmental non-profits. We believe it is important for businesses to be good stewards of our natural resources, and encourage others to do the same.
